If you’re traveling with kids Marrakech may not seem like the best place to go on a family vacation. However, this can be a unique experience your child is sure to remember forever. There are several wonderful aspects of Moroccan culture they can experience and learn fun facts about. You can even catch a bus tour from a number of Marrakech hotels to begin discovering the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of this enchanting Moroccan city and your kids can hear exotic stories of the sights along the way at the various stops throughout the city.
Some of the places your kids will enjoy visiting are the Theatre Royal, Palais des Congres and Les Jardins Majorelle. If it gets uncomfortably warm out and you want to cool off your children are sure to love you forever if you take them to Oasiria Water Park to swim, ride on the pirate ship, cool off in one of the available children lagoons, or enjoy the wave pool. The Majorelle Botanical Gardens is the perfect place to enjoy a family picnic and let your young ones explore the gardens or an hour outside the city there is the Olive Grove of Mariah where a family can enjoy a gigantic swimming pool, explore the gardens and finish the visit by dining in an available restaurant.
If you’re visiting during the winter in Marrakech be prepared for heavy rains that will limit your visit to indoor activities. Luckily the French Institute of Marrakech’s offers cultural activities that are fun for the whole family whether your kids enjoy storytelling or circus shows.
