Washington DC is well known as the nation’s capital and the various government buildings and establishments are part of its overall symbolic image. Meanwhile, there is actually a great deal of cultural attractions thriving in DC and attract numerous tourists every year in addition to those who are there to see The White House and Capital Building, though they are on almost everyone’s visitation agenda. The Discovery Theatre is another popular program for kids. The educational and entertainment oriented productions are specifically aimed for young audiences who are introduced to various cultural traditions while gaining an appreciation for the performance arts.
